Why not just ask people who really play these? But this instrument, the trombone, is one whose workings are not particularly easy to see from the outside. It has heavy stylized nickel trim and one of the coolest hand engraving I have ever seen! Some finish wear and small dents but priced accordingly.

As a member of the Alabama Bandsmasters Association, Mr. Model 3, which is the large bore (.500"/.547") which works beautifully. It is a lightweight red brass bell with soldered rim.
